Test Series Tour

The following tour is an example of what you can do.  All of our trips are tailored to suit your requirements.

Saturday 3rd November
Depart London Heathrow on your overnight flight to Colombo.

Sunday 4th November
On arrival at Colombo airport you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel in Galle or Bentota for 7 nights stay.

Monday 5th November
At leisure.

Tuesday 6th to Saturday 10th November
1st Test International Stadium, Galle.

Sunday 11th November
Depart for Yala National Park.  En-route see the Stilt Fishermen in action.  Stay overnight at your chosen hotel.

Monday 12th November
Early morning (with breakfast packs) travel by jeep safari to Yala National Park. Larger elephants, leopard and bears are the main attractions here whereas crocodiles are spotted basking along the banks of lakes.  Once completed, leave for Nuwara Eliya via Ella. Stay overnight at your chosen hotel.

Tuesday 13th November
Morning sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya, which is Sri Lanka’s premier hill resort with a fine bracing mountain climate. Once completed, leave for Kandy en-route visit a Tea Plantation and Tea Factory. Stay 6 nights in Kandy at your chosen hotel.

Wednesday 14th to Sunday 18th November
2nd Test Pallekele International Stadium, Kandy.

Monday 19th November
This morning leave for Sigiriya. En-route visit a spice garden in Matale to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for. Continue to Dambulla Cave Temple, one of the oldest cave temples of Sri Lanka and is located above an isolated and steep rocky outcrop. The steep climb is rewarding. Each cave reveals treasures of ancient Buddhist mural art. Stay 2 nights in Sigiriya at your chosen hotel.

Tuesday 20th November
This morning visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Rich in both legend and architecture, the culminating ascent to the summit of the Sigiriya Rock is well worth the effort. Afterwards leave for Polonnaruwa. The best conserved medieval capital of Sri Lanka, a visit to Polonnaruwa will take you to through its rich dynastic past.

Wednesday 21st November
Morning departure towards Colombo via Pinnawala. Visit the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala. This orphanage is the home for about 89 elephants, out of which some are baby elephants found abandoned or orphaned in the wild. You will have the opportunity of seeing the baby elephants being bottle-fed and accompany the elephants to a river close-by and see them having their daily bath.  Continue onto Colombo for 7 nights stay at your chosen hotel.

Thursday 22nd November
At leisure. An optional city sightseeing tour can be arranged.

Friday 23rd to Tuesday 27th November
3rd Test Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo.

Wednesday 28th November
Transfer to Colombo airport for your flight to London.
Arrive London Heathrow this evening.
