Evening visit Temple of the Tooth and witness a Kandyan Cultural dance performance. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Wednesday 25th March
Leave for Dambulla en route visit a spice garden in Matale, to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for. Continue onto Dambulla.  Check in to your hotel. Afternoon visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple, one of the oldest cave temples of Sri Lanka and is located above an isolated and steep rocky outcrop. The steep climb is rewarding. Each cave reveals treasures of ancient Buddhist mural art.  Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Thursday 26th March
This morning visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Rich in both legend and architecture, the culminating ascent to the summit of the Sigiriya Rock is well worth the effort. Afterwards leave for Colombo.
En route visit a Sri Lankan village experience where a walk along the village path will bring you to a “Wewa” typical village lake. The village homes are totally different to built up urban areas of Sri Lanka. The small houses are surrounded by green woods. It is common to spot watch huts in the fields from which the menfolk keep up at night on the lookout for wild Elephants and Wild Boar. Cross the Lake by canoe observing the rich birdlife. Once you reach the farm, the lady of the house gladly demonstrates her cooking abilities using a traditional hearth. On arrival in Colombo hotel drop off will commence.  Stay six nights at your chosen category hotel.
